Stories
Iris Isabella Fuerer – a heart for feelings, big and small
Iris Isabella Fuerer is a therapist, mother and grandmother. Based in Mallorca and working online, she supports people on their personal journeys with warmth and empathy.
As a mother and grandmother, she understands the everyday challenges of family life: the wish to do everything on your own, the fear of trying something new and the joy when a hesitant attempt becomes a courageous step.
Through Ludmilla, she invites children and adults to explore feelings together. Her fairy tales tell stories of friendship, courage and forgiveness – with warmth, humour and room for readers’ own thoughts. Reading aloud together can spark conversations that reach beyond the story.
How It All Began
Ludmilla’s Story Began at Two Children’s Bedsides
When Iris’s two daughters were little, she would sit by their beds almost every evening and make up a new story. The tales grew naturally out of everyday life – whenever something needed explaining, comfort was needed or a feeling needed room to be heard.
That is how Ludmilla came to life: a little princess who sometimes feels defiant, impatient or afraid, and always learns something along the way. Through imagination, humour and warmth, Iris could share values with her children without scolding or lecturing them.
Around the year 2000, Iris began writing down some of the stories – by hand and on a typewriter. Many others lived on as memories for years. Today, she has turned them into books and hopes to pass the stories on to her grandchildren too: as gentle companions through feelings, big and small.
